A Love Affair with Tonic Eyeshadow by Urban Decay

My crazy obsession with Urban Decay’s eyeshadow in Tonic started last July, when my mom, Rochelle, and I found ourselves in Ulta swatching every single eyeshadow Urban Decay had to offer. I was wearing a red dress to my friend’s wedding, and I wanted to accentuate the purple-ish floral detail in the dress. Tonic is the perfect light purple with that duo chrome flash of blue. It’s the perfect holographic 90s unicorn color, and I’ve worn it at least once a week ever since then.

For this look, I decided to have a little fun and go editorial. I spread Sephora’s Colorful Shadow and Liner in Lilac Shimmer all over my lid, smudging it out with my ring finger. And then, I took Tonic with that same ring finger and lightly pat the pigment on top. I used a fluffy blending brush and a magenta eyeshadow from my NYX Brights Ultimate shadow palette to smoke out the edges.

What’s your favorite way to wear holographic makeup?
